Advancell Microspheres are cost-effective, light weight, and have a wide range of compatibility. When combined with the below base materials, these thermoplastics create unique new materials and products for a variety of uses and fields including building materials, automobiles, lifestyle and daily goods, and specialty items such as expansion ink, thermal paper, and paint.
Material Compatibility
PVC
PVC is one of the most commonly found base materials in shoe soles, roofing materials, plumbing materials, wallpaper, and a variety of lifestyle and daily goods, which Advancell can be applied to. The high compatibility that Advancell has with PVC ensures stability in the properties of the application and provides flexibility in the processing temperature.
Recommended Grades: EM306, EM403, EM406

EPDM
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a widely used elastomer for its durability, insulation, and processability. It is used in a variety of automotive parts, such as sealing, gaskets, and O-rings. Light weight EPDM-based parts have always been a challenge, and Advancell has proven to be the best choice for many processors due to its compatibility in this regard.
Recommended Grades: EML101, EM306, Master Batch Grades, Development Grades

TPV
TPV (Thermoplastic Vulcanizate) is a form of elastomer that has been vulcanized utilizing the compounding process. Better flexibility and durability compared to common rubber-based materials that are seen among a wide range of applications. Advancell can be applied to reduce weight for TPV-based materials. TPV is also being considered for sealing material in the automotive industry and one of the focus segments for Advancell.
Recommended Grades: EM501, EM504, Master Batch Grades, Development Grades

PP
PP (Polypropylene) is a rigid and crystalline thermoplastic used widely in everyday objects like packaging trays, household products, battery cases and medical devices. Maintaining durability is key for any additional materials used in PP-based applications and Advancell can do this through light weight and density adjustments.
Recommended Grades: EM501, EM504
